Airbourne Show - Eastboure Seafront

Yesterday, myself and hubby went to Eastbourne to see the Airbourne show, and what a fantastic day it was.  Unfortunately we both thought the weather was going to be a bit overcast, as it happens it must have been one of the hottest days of the year, so now I am the colour of beetroot (who needs St. Tropez?).

We found ourselves with thousands of other people on the beach, here you can get the best view and for free.  Here are a few images of the day, mostly the fabulous Red Arrows x

Crowds as far as the eye could see, and the sad remains of the part of the pier that recently burnt down :(

Red Arrows putting on a wonderful display (so brave!!)

They gave everyone on the beach a heart message!!

Near misses!!

Two arrows flying upside down :(

A Lancaster bomber
Every time the bomber flew past the entire beach got to its feet, cheered and clapped.
Lest we forget.

If you look really closely you can see MAD wing walker people on top of the planes!

If you ever get the chance to go (each August) I would thoroughly recommend it :)

  1. Looks like you had an amazing day. I hope that the beetrootness is not too painful today xx

  2. Great day - you didn't have to walk far then!

    1. Eastbourne seafront is about 10 mins in the car, we are on the Harbour, still looking out to sea, but can see the show (bits of it) from our place, but not as good as being there :)

  3. Magnificent! Lovely day , with SUN! yes I can only take care of the burn!

  4. Wow what a wonderful day out. Your photos of the planes look amazing. It must have been a great atmosphere with everyone cheering the bomber. Hope your skin is not so angry today.
    Ali xx
